Cast Polypropylene Film (CPP) is an unstretched polypropylene film produced using a melt-cast quenching process. It is primarily extruded through a T-die and then rapidly formed on a chill roll. It features uniform thickness, high transparency, and excellent heat-sealing properties. Based on the intended use, this film is categorized into three types: general-purpose, aluminized, and retort-grade. Retort-grade CPP can withstand high-temperature sterilization up to 121°C and is widely used in meat packaging and as a composite film substrate.

CPP includes general-purpose CPP (GCPP), aluminized CPP (MCPP), and retort-grade CPP (RCPP). These films offer excellent transparency, uniform thickness, and consistent properties in both the machine and transverse directions. They are typically used as the inner layer of Composite Films. Standard CPP film thickness typically ranges from 20 to 70 μm. When laminated with OPP, CPP film exhibits excellent clarity, a smooth surface, and a firm feel. It is commonly used in gift bags. This film also exhibits excellent heat-sealing properties. Retort-grade CPP film typically has a thickness of 60-80 μm and can withstand retorting at 121°C for 30 minutes. It also exhibits excellent oil resistance, airtightness, and heat-seal strength. Retort-grade CPP film is often used as the inner layer of meat packaging.
